3 Red Lights

If you turn on your Xbox 360 and get 3 red lights around the power button and nothing else happens; then you have what is commonly called the Red Ring of Death.

When your console is running, the heat build-up within the Xbox itself causes the motherboard to bend against some clamps inside the box. This in turn causes the soldered joints on the processors to come away from the motherboard resulting in RROD.

This is a very common problem with Xbox 360s that was not discovered by Microsoft until long after the Xbox was released. By then there was very little that Microsoft could do. They did however extend the warranty to 3 years for this problem.

I will repair this problem for £30.

If the Xbox is not repairable I will charge nothing. You will get your Xbox back in the same condition that you delivered it.

You will be charged for a repair once it is completed.

My preference is for you to deliver your Xbox to me, but please call first. I am happy to pick-up and drop-off but will charge extra for this service. This payment is required at pick-up and is not refundable.

When you receive your repaired console you will get a receipt and a reference number. You must retain this receipt as part of your 30 day warranty.

If your console develops the same problem again during your 30 day warranty period, I will repair the console again for free. If it can't be repaired I will issue a full refund of the repair cost.

Warranty does not apply to Xboxes that have been opened, modified or fixed previously.
